Frequently Asked Questions.

Q: Where are you?
A: Please see the map on our page, search google maps, we are registered there. Or take a note of our telephone number, and call us when in Belfast and we will direct you.

Q: What are your opening hours?
A: Mid week 12 - 12 and 24 hour at weekends. Full details and further details on our opening hours page.

Q: How much is admission?
A: Admission is £10, for promotions please see our admissions page.

Q: If I leave and wish to come back can I?
A: Yes, we operate a pass out policy, you are able to ask for a pass when leaving that will allow you free admission again, with in the same day of business.

Q: Do I need to bring towels?
A: No, clean white towels are provided, you can also get extra towels.

Q: Will my clothes be safe?
A: You are provided with a key for your locker.  You should keep this with you at all times.

Q: I have valuables with me, can I leave them at reception?
A: We will accept valuables to be placed in our safe.  These will be placed in a plastic bag signed by you on the seal.

Q: Do you provide car parking?
A: We do not provide dedicated car parking for Outside, however there are many public and on street car-parks in the immediate vicinity.

Q: Do you need my details, name and address?
A: No, on admission, we ask for a signature, this is just for safety reasons in the unlikely event of fire for example.

Q: Will I be seen going in?
A: This is highly unlikely, we have a discreet entrance, and many people do not know what the business is.

Q: Will I meet people I know?
A: Again highly unlikely, however if you do, you will find that person is in the same situation as you.

Q: I am not Gay, will I be able to get in?
A: Outside staff do not judge anyone. Our customers identify as gay, bi-sexual, a man who has liaisons with a man, curious, experimental and interested.

Q: Do I have to bring condoms?
A: No, condoms and lubricant are supplied by our friends at the Rainbow Project.  These are available throughout the building and in most cubicles.

Q: Is outside seedy or clean?
A: outside prides itself in the highest standards of cleanliness. This is achieved by dedicated staff following an intense cleaning programme.

Q: Can I hire an escort?
A: No, we are not that type of business, and it totally forbidden anywhere on the premises.

Q: Can I smoke?
A: Smoking is permitted in our dedicated heated smoking area.

Q: Do you sell alcohol?
A: No, we do sell a range of cold drinks, tea/coffee and hot and cold snacks.

Q: Can I go nude?
A: Nudity is permitted anywhere in the building, though people wear a towel in the café area. Outside is a space for people to be themselves and do what they wish, within reason.  Apollo Gay Male Naturist Group meets regularly in Outside

Q: I like to wear fetish gear, may I wear it in outside?
A; Of course at anytime though we do have a dedicated fetish party on the FIRST Sunday of each month from 4pm. See Outside theme pages on this site.

Q: I like to wear panties and stockings, can I in Outside?
A:  Again, outside is a space for people to be themselves and do what they wish, in fact you can wear more if you wish.  We would urge however that you wear rubber soled shoes if any, as we have wooden floors.

Q: What if someone approaches me and I do not feel attracted to them?
A:  No one should ever be forced to do anything they do not want.  In Outside, as most saunas there is an unwritten rule, if someone is not interested they say no thanks, or signal no. the person usually understands, as they have probably done the same themselves at some stage. If however if you ever feel pressured, please speak to a member of staff.

Q: I am very nervous, and shy. I would like to visit Outside but…?!!
A: Why not E-mail us?  You could arrange a visit outside opening hours to have a look around the facilities.  This would allow you to be more comfortable when you do visit during opening hours.
